Nine workshops were held to learn about the needs and/or experience in the area of technical assistance in water and sanitation for rural areas in the municipalities of Cajibío, La Guajira and Teorama. Officials from the municipal administrations participated in these workshops in order to participatively build the elements for the creation and implementation of the Technical Assistance Areas in each municipality. From these meetings, the ASIR-SABA project prepared a document with the proposal which will be socialised to the entities and communities and will continue to support from its experience to make this initiative a reality that benefits the communities and the processes of sustainable water management in rural areas.
