Objective of the webinar:

Exchange experiences and institutional perspectives on alternatives to address solutions for access to water for human consumption and productive uses as part of the rural reality.

Hugo Bahamon. Ministry of Housing, City and Territory. He is an internationalist from George Washington University and holds a Master's degree from the University of Barcelona. He has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and as coordinator of development projects in several Latin American countries. Prior to being appointed Director of Policy and Regulation of the Vice-Ministry of Water and Basic Sanitation, he held the position of Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Housing, City and Territory between September 2018 and June 2020.

María Stella Albornoz Miranda. Ministry of Agriculture and Sustainable Development. Civil Engineer with a Master's Degree in Irrigation Engineering, with more than 20 years of experience in issues related to land suitability (irrigation, drainage and flood protection). Specialised professional of the Directorate of Social Planning of Property and Land Use of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Rosa Cristina Salazar Casallas, Agricultural Engineer with a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Water Resources and Environment, with more than 9 years of experience in land development projects (irrigation, drainage and flood protection) and hydraulics in general for agricultural, floriculture, livestock and environmental applications, both in the private and public sector. Contractor of the Directorate of Social Property Management and Land Use of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Inés Restrepo. University of Valle. Sanitary Engineer, MSc in Systems (environmental systems), PhD. Professor and researcher at the Cinara Institute of the Universidad del Valle.

Silvia Corrales. Economist, Master in Public Policy and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad del Valle. She has worked for more than 15 years on the issue of multiple uses of water for rural areas in the Integrated Water Resources Management Research Group of the Cinara Institute of the University of Valle.

Moderator:

Omar Varillas. Cordon del Plata Foundation of Peru. Agricultural engineer with a master's degree in Irrigation Engineering. He has been coordinator and advisor of different projects with public and private entities on Sustainable Development management issues. Currently, he is National Advisor for Water Resources and Climate Change at HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Peru.
